student officer - lead your students' union

We're thrilled to announce the results of the election for our new LGBTQ+ Liberation Officer. After re-opening the position for a by-election, Bronze Sparks has been successfully elected into this part-time voluntary role.

Bronze joins a team of seven Liberation Officers, who all play a crucial role in advocating for the needs of the student communities at DMU, promoting diversity, and fostering a sense of belonging for all. Keep an eye out for upcoming events and initiatives led by Bronze, and their fellow Liberation Officers and don't hesitate to reach out to them with your ideas and suggestions, once they have started their roles in July 2024.
